"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."
I find that this is very hard for me. I had a non-LDS website suggest praying about something today and I thought "I didn't even think of that!" God cares about everything. He even cares about what I do next in my day.
How do you remind yourself to put your trust in the Lord?
I have had to learn the hard way that when I sit still and listen, I can always know the answer - even if it's just "wait patiently and all will be revealed." Some days the proof of my pain and concern is so overwhelming that I forget to listen with an open heart, because I want the answer to either be what I think it is, or I want the answer to be right now so that I don't have to feel the angst and hurt anymore. But when I wait upon The Lord, He ALWAYS lets me know, either with an answer right away, or with the peace I need to carry on in the midst of my trials. So I guess the answer to your question, is when I am reading my scriptures daily, and having 'real' conversations with my Heavenly Father, HE reminds me to put my trust in Him.
